Megan's Poem from 6/6/2010.
There are moments of pain where I cannot speak.
He is my voice.
There are days of anguish where I cannot breath.
He is my air.
There are times of sorrow where I cannot see, I cannot listen.
He is my eyes
He is my ears.
Then, then there are those days, those days enclosed in darkness, coldness, and fear.
These are the days that haunt my dreams, that can cease my heart from beating,
That can tear me apart piece by piece until all that remains are fragments of someone once whole.
All that I am and all I long to be are shattered before my very eyes.
It is here where you are most beautiful and here where you make me most beautiful.
I do not seek you.
How selfish to think I do!
No, here is where you simply hold me.
And as you do I fall into your arms completely and wholly broken.
Here is where you fight, you finish the battle that I can no longer bear.
And I just watch.
I watch as glory is revealed.
I am speechless.
I marvel at your majesty and wonder at your sovereignty.
You, El Roi have seen me, broken and yet so beautiful!
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
